Share of Voice

The key metric for your market share in AI-generated responses.

What is Share of Voice?

Share of Voice (SOV) measures your brand as a percentage of all brand mentions naturally detected in AI-generated responses. We count a mention whenever a brand from your catalogue appears in an answer, whether it is named directly in the answer text or one of the domains it goes by is referenced. Each brand counts at most once per answer.

An example: an AI model answers 100 prompts. Across all responses, brands are detected 500 times. If your brand accounts for 75 of those detections, your Share of Voice is 15%.

How is SOV calculated?

SOV = Your brand mentions / Total brand mentions × 100%
